What the video says
- Set up ArcadeCore · Part 2 of 5 · Claim it
- First start and the set-up
- Your node's first Pepecoin test
- Your own account
- Make it the owner and sign for it
- Open http://127.0.0.1:8420 on the node's own machine. ArcadeCore shows your node: it has already joined the other arcades.
- While its own Pepecoin test node catches up, it borrows every chain from them, so everything works from the first minute.
- Click Admin. The first time, it opens a short set-up in three steps: your node, some Pepecoin test, and your @name.
- Your arcade needs a little Pepecoin test. It pays the small fees for claiming names and posting on the test chain.
- Other operators on the mesh welcome new arcades with some. Or press Mine a block, and this computer works one out itself.
- Next, your own @name. You join your arcade the same way any user does, from its home page.
- Pick a name. The page tells you if it's free. Check the field first: it can arrive filled in with a suggestion.
- Then a password of twelve characters or more. Nobody can reset it, so keep it somewhere safe.
- Next your wallet is made, in your browser, with twelve words. Write them on paper, in order: they're your only way back.
- Back at the node's own machine and signed in as yourself, open /join. It offers to make your account this node's owner.
- This works only at the machine itself, and only once. The owner's account opens the node's wallet and Admin.
- Confirm it, and the node knows who runs it.
- Last, sign that the node is yours, so other arcades can see who runs it.
- Your coins and keys stay in your browser, so unlock your wallet with your password first.
- In Admin, under This node, choose to sign. Tick the box if you want your other nodes to list this one.
- Your wallet shows the exact words it will sign: the arcade, the network, this node, your address and an end date.
- Signed. This node is listed as yours until next year, and linked arcades can see it.
