API

A crypto API on a node you run

Everything an arcade does is available by program, with keys its operator gives out. Build a website, a bot or a dashboard on Dogecoin, Pepecoin, Litecoin and DigiByte without a third-party API.

Two kinds of key

Operator key

Your site's back end

Does whatever the operator can, narrowed if you like to chosen modules, read-only, an end date, or certain addresses.

User key

An account's own

Acts exactly as that account would signed in, never as the operator. A way for people to try what an arcade can do.

Reference

Every route, by module

The arcade lists every route it serves, grouped by module, and any console command runs in one call.

curl -H "Authorization: Bearer ak_…" https://your-arcade.example/api/v1/whoami

Keys are shown once and kept only as hashes; switching one off takes effect on the next call. Using the ARCADE API, with worked examples (PDF) · Build with us

Questions

Is there a self-hosted Dogecoin API?

Yes. An arcade you run is your own API for Dogecoin and the other chains it runs or borrows, with keys you issue.

Can a bot post on the feed or send coins?

An operator key with write access can run console commands such as posting on the feed. Sends from the node's own wallet are confirmed only at the node's machine.

Can users get their own API keys?

If the operator allows it: they choose whether users may make keys, how many each, and how many calls a minute.
