The ARCADE project

ARCADE

AdaptiveReciprocatingChain-linkedAuxiliaryDistributedEcosystem

A world that no single company owns and no single machine can switch off.

ARCADE is a network of computers, run by ordinary people, that host games, apps, chat and trading you can open in any web browser. Your name, messages, coins and collectibles live on public blockchains, so any arcade can serve you.

arcade version

running on this site's arcade

Every number we count. Counted every 10 minutes by the arcade that serves this site. An arcade counts as online when it's linked now, was reached in the last hour, or announced itself on chain in the last day.

One wallet, many coins

One account holds every coin ARCADE works with. Your wallet is locked in your own browser, whichever chain the coins are on.

More coins are on the way, and anyone can add one: add your community's coin with a pull request. Every coin side by side, and every number per coin on the network stats.

One network, three ways in

Players

Play, post, collect and trade

Sign up with a name and a password. Your wallet is made and locked on your own device, and you never hand your coins to anyone to play.

What players can do
Operators

Run an arcade on a spare computer

One program beside the coin software. It links itself to other arcades, and you decide what it offers, what it charges and who it serves.

Run an arcade
App makers

Publish once, appear everywhere

A web app written to a chain shows up in every arcade's App Store, including multiplayer games that work across arcades.

What makes it different

Your keys stay yours

Your wallet is sealed in your browser. The arcade keeps only a locked copy it can't open, and never sees your password.

The chain is the database

Names, messages, posts, tokens and collectibles are transactions. An arcade's own data is a cache anyone can rebuild from the chains.

Any arcade can serve you

If your arcade closes, sign in at another with the same name and password, and everything you own is there.

Trades without a middleman

Most trades settle in one transaction both people sign, or in time-locked contracts that either pay both sides or refund both.

Communities share the load

One operator can run a coin's full software and lend it to many arcades. Each arcade runs what it can and borrows the rest, then checks what it borrows.

Operators decide

Each arcade picks its coins, look, limits, fees and AI models. Rules that protect players are fixed in the code for everyone.

How it fits together

Four parts: your browser, the arcades, the mesh that links them, and the public blockchains underneath.

How it works, in plain words

Everything built on ARCADE

Where it's headed

The team's current work is about trust you can see and an easier start for operators. These are plans, not promises.

Pages you can check

Arcades show that they serve the standard, signed pages and spot-check each other, with a badge players can see.

More coins, fully supported

Bellscoin and Luckycoin support is being finished, including their collectibles.

One balance everywhere

An account used on several arcades shows the same coins on each, with no slow rescan when you move.

Send any amount of Pepecoin. It goes straight to their wallet.

From your arcade wallet

Opens your wallet on this site in a new tab, with @ filled in. Sign in with your arcade account; your wallet shows what it will send and asks before anything goes.
