Pepecoin on ARCADE

Pepecoin is ARCADE's home chain. Your @name, posts and private messages are written on Pepecoin's test network, where coins cost nothing, and real Pepecoin is for tips, trades, swaps and Pepinals.

Collect Pepinals

View, send, buy, sell and make Pepinals from the same wallet, and browse what's on Pepecoin in Explore without signing in.

Names, posts and messages

Pepecoin's test network carries every @name, post, reply, like and private message. Many arcades give a new account a starter amount of test coin, so you can begin straight away. It's the only chain every arcade must run itself.

Two kinds of collectible

Pepecoin carries Pepinals (the same envelope as Doginals) and ARCADE's own inscription format, which fits about 7,650 bytes in one transaction.

The Pepecoin swap service

Some arcades also offer a quick Pepecoin main swap service for a fixed 0.5%. Unlike the other swaps, the operator holds your coins during that swap, so it's marked as asking for trust and is off unless the operator opens it.

Swapping Pepecoin

A swap between Pepecoin and Dogecoin, Litecoin or DigiByte settles on both chains with a pair of time-locked contracts. Either both people are paid, or both get their coins back after 4 to 8 hours. How swaps work.

For speed, swaps below 1,000,000 PEP act on unconfirmed payments; at or above that, and whenever a token or collectible is involved, they wait for one confirmation. Operators can move that line.

Pepecoin on your own arcade

An arcade can run Pepecoin itself, borrow it from another arcade that shares it, or leave it off. Running it lets your arcade check every block and lend Pepecoin to smaller arcades, which pay in kind.
